Critical Mass of Halos for Pop III Star Formation
It is expected that Population III stars form in minihaloes more massive than ~ 106 M☉. In the literature, however, Pop III-forming halos have wide mass ranges. Using Ramses-RT and PGadget-3, I aim at understanding conditions for Pop III star formation, and exploring their impact on galaxy formation.
Formation of Low-metallicity Stars
It is known that Population III stars have top-heavy initial mass function. Using Ramses-PRISM (Katz+ 2022), I study the formation of low-poor stars to understand how properties of stars change with metallicity and how they contribute to the formation of galaxies across cosmic history.
